Courage, it's an act of Faith

Ok, truth be told I had one of the worst weeks this week. But honestly i don't think anyone really knew that. Im sure someone picked up on my worst day but all in all this week was terrible and I am so thankful that it is over. I guess the nice part of it all is that it went by fairly fast. It just sucks because I didn't feel like myself and I felt like all week I had zero motivation to do anything, however, I am thankful for the people in my life this week that spent a few extra minutes talking to me and showing me that they cared.
Last night I was doing some homework and my homepage on my internet is lds.org and this weeks mormon message was on courage. Do You Have The Courage To Trust God?
So I watched the video, and if you would like to too heres the link Having Courage & Trusting The Lord ... Its just 3 minutes. Or you can just watch it here!

The video is of Ester and 3 Courageous women who each go through difficult trials in their lives. They share of their stories, and things that they learned from their experiences. Everyone has trials and things in their life that don't go as planned. We each need to have courage. We each need to have Faith. We each get a variety of challenges and we all have to face them, to put our best foot forward and continue to do the best that we can. My favourite line from the message was that "we dont ever realize how strong we are until strong is all that we have left... ... Being brave doesnt mean that we arent afraid. Brave is just acting in faith."
In our difficult situations rarely do we know what the Lord is trying to teach us but if we really trust Heavenly Father it shouln't matter what we know. Gods plan is always better, and as long as we have faith in Him, everything will work out.
I have the Courage to trust God. I know that sometimes its hard but if I continue to pray to Him, He will hear my cries, and He will answer them. I know that if I am as strong and as virtuous as Ester I will be able to get through these trials.

I Love God

I was born and raised in the church and I am so thankful for that. I have always had strong, faithful, church going parents that have taught me the best things of the gospel. The church makes me happy. It makes me better. And most of all it makes me look forward to the other side, to be reunited with my loved ones again. I believe in God. I pray to Him daily and I know that He is there listening and answering my prayers. He has a never ending love for me and He has a plan for me. I know that if I try my best every day I can become more like Him. Our goal is to become perfect, even though it is something we cannot attain here in mortality- if we try our best He will bless us and help us to become more like Him. Jesus is my Savior. He suffered both in the Garden of Gethsemane, and on the cross for me. Last month in visiting teaching the lesson was on Christs sacrifice for us and I realized that He didn't suffer just for our pains, weaknesses, and sins ... But He also felt our strengths, greatest achievements, and every moment of love we have ever felt. He knows and understands us better than anyone else and I have a testimony of that. I know that He will always be there for me to help me and show me how to become more like Him. I want to make Him proud, to one day be able to kneel at His feet to hear Him say "Well done, good and faithful servant thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord" Matthew 25: 21.

The start of Missionary March

One of the goals I made at the beginning of the year was to be more in tune with the Spirit. Becoming more in tune with the Spirit is not an over night thing, it is a process, and it takes time and effort. Sister Linda K Burton shared last year in her talk that "learning the language of the Spirit is a process, one that is vital for each of us to learn, whether we are recently baptized or long-time members of the church." Her entire talk is amazing as she talks about tuning our hearts to the voice of the Spirit. And i recommend you all to read or listen to it, so here's the link!

Tuning our Hearts to the Voice of the Spirit- Linda K Burton

Don’t overlook the basics: 9 ways to tune your heart to the Spirit.
The Holy Ghost is the greatest friend we have and we need to make sure that we are inviting Him into our lives daily. I rely greatly on Him. I know that if i listen to Him i will always be on the right path and I know that if you do the same you will be too.
